I ordered this car charger because of the retractable cord feature. When fully retracted I can still use the phone up to my ear while it is plugged into the power socket unlike those coiled type of cords that only stretch about 15 inches or so.It arrived within a week of placing the order however it did not work. The blue power light lit up but the charger did not charge the phone. I contacted the company and they promptly sent me out a replacement and did not want the non working one sent back. Their customer service follow up was very impressive with several e mails back and forth to resolve the problem. I would not hesitate to order from them again and would recommend them to others.

This is a handy charger. In a world with iPods, portable DVD players, laptops, and any other electronic device imaginable, it's frustrating to reach into the arm rest console of my car and pull out a tangle of charging cords. This device is easy to find and take out of the console without taking everything else with it. The retractable cord is thin and just long enough to reach from the power outlet in the center of the dash to the phone while talking. Because the Instinct ships with an extra battery and charging case, it's easy with this charger to ensure that there is always a fresh battery in the car. This is especially helpful for road trips, when cords are aplenty and mountain passes require a working phone at all times.
The push-button retract action has worked flawlessly every time. I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants a little less clutter in his or her life.
